Sarah was born in Medellín, Colombia and raised in Orlando, Florida. She grew up with a love for the dramatic arts and a longing for adventure which lead her to New York City. Sarah bases all of her artistic endeavors (singing, acting, writing, and so on) out of Brooklyn. A special thanks goes out to her partner, Francis, and Carol, her loving Mother.

Lead Actor:  Nicholas Wilder

Nicholas Wilder was born as Nicholas Layden Wilder. He is an actor, known for Gut (2012), The Paradigm Shift (2008) and Flogging Margaret (2008).

Lead Actor:  Colleen Slattery

Genre:  Thriller

 

Colleen Slattery is an actor based in New York City.  A graduate of NYU and The William Esper Studio, Colleen can most recently be seen in They Never Left, written by Michael Kospiah (Suicide Theory), playing festivals nationwide.  In addition to Nemesis, select credits include the films The Power of Knowing and Passing the Book, as well as series regular roles on the web-series Wink and Half a Dozen. Upcoming projects include Breakup By Jury, a romantic comedy slated for 2018, and the feature film All Who Wander, in which she both produces and stars in the lead role.

Writer / Director: Carl Joglar

Genre:  Thriller

Carl Joglar is an award-winning screenwriter and author who has delved into many genres. Years ago, his first attempt at a feature script took him to the quarter-finals in the Lone Star Screenplay Competition which, according to the judges, was a remarkable feat for a fantasy script by a first-time writer. Since then, he has written almost two dozen screenplays and won several awards. Carl's writing caught the attention of L.A. based filmmakers, which quickly lead to his participation in the AMC (American Movie Classics) film project, “Short Screamers Hosted by John Carpenter”, where his short script “The Witching Hour” was featured on national television. Then, after winning Best Horror Screenplay at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival with a creature feature script, Carl sold several screenplays, including a supernatural thriller titled, “Shiver” for Ground Zero Entertainment. The production was listed in the Project Highlights section of the Hollywood Reporter. His work then garnered praise and interest from the likes of Warren Zide of Zide/Perry Entertainment (American Pie Trilogy, Final Destination) and producer Moctesuma Esparza (Selena, Gods and Generals, The Milagro-Beanfield War). Soon after, Carl served as Story Editor on the comedy/drama “Harlem Hostel”, starring Ramon Rodriguez (Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen) which was released in theaters in September 2009 and is now available on DVD. After releasing his contemporary science fiction young adult novel THE PERILS OF QUAD, the book received favorable reviews in several periodicals, including New York's Urban Latino Magazine and The Herald Journal. After relocating to Utah, Carl was interviewed on 97.1 KZHT Morning Zoo Radio Show to discuss his screenwriting career and promote his novel. Since then, he has worked with several local production companies, including Arrowstorm Entertainment and Candlelight Media, and has been a guest speaker at both the Salt Lake Comic-Con and Fan X conventions. Most recently, shooting on location in upstate New York, Carl just completed production on his first full-length feature film, Nemesis. He wrote and directed the film based on his screenplay, which has won several 1st Place awards.

Executive Producer/Wardrobe:  Alex A. Torres

Alex began his venture into film making as storyist for Sci-fi Fantasy screenplay “Children of Sin”, which placed as a quarter finalist in the Lonestar Screen Writing competition. Afterwards, he became the Executive Producer for sci-fi short thriller: Heroes. This Sci-Fi short  was accepted in several festivals. Heroes placed as a monthly finalist in the View Askew Monthly Film Festival. He wrote an LGBT dramatic screenplay, which placed as a finalist in the TeaDance Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.

 

Alex made his directorial debut on the horror short, Darker, which was accepted in close to 50 film festivals worldwide and earned him many nominations and awards including Best Director and Best Horror Short. He was also the First Ad/Producer on several speculative commercials/PSA's as well as a short documentary on the LBGTQ perspective of a Street Theatre play regarding the Stonewall Riot of 1969 and a short narrative film called Mater Mortis. Alex is currently in development on a documentary regarding the intersectionality of the "T" community within the LGBTQ community.

 

He produced his first feature length film, Nemesis, Starring Sarah Villegas (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) which has won and placed as a finalist for best screenplay in many screenplay festivals. It was recently picked up by Random Media and released September 22, 2020 on several streaming services such as iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and VUDU in the US, the United Kingdom and Germany as well as Cable Stations like DirecTV and InDemand. Alex also recently wrote, produced and directed a short Horror/Thriller short (The Nothing), which currently underway in the film festival circuit 2020 and has won the Audience Choice as well as Best Director, and Best Horror Short at several film festivals.

Cinematographer / Editor:  Alex Grene

Alex Grene is a New York-based cinematographer and filmmaker. After working on award-winning feature "Directors: A Comedy" and numerous pilots and short films, he collaborated with director Alex Torres on the short film "Darker," which garnered more than 20 film-festival acceptances and multiple award nominations. Recent work includes the Iranian surrealist feature "Tophy." 

First AD:  Nicole Manchrone

Nicole wants to live in a world where tea kettles never empty and an adventure awaits around every corner.  As a passionate and dedicated media professional, she has worked on Network productions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Often praised for outstanding work ethic and diligence, Nicole has skills in project coordination, development, post-production, budgeting, and research. When she's not busy with an ongoing production, you can find her banging away on the piano, rereading her favorite sci-fi/fantasy novels, or having in-depth, one sided conversations with her dog, Hunter.

Sound Engineer: Jose Troverso

Genre: Thriller

Having been in love with music from a very young age Jose always knew his future would be tied to sound in some way. After graduating from the Institute of Audio Research core program with a 4.0 gpa he was excited to learn more about the audio world. He then completed the extended film course at IAR and has since gained film credits for projects that have aired on both the Syfy and Lifetime networks. While continuing to build a strong body of work he remains determined to master his craft and one day hopes to work with his role models Christopher Nolan, J.J. Abrams & Hans Zimmer to name a few.

Associate Producer: Rana Attia

Genre: Thriller

 

Rana has worked for over a decade in regional theatre and is branching out into film. She has worn many hats over the years including Wardrobe Mistress, Wig Maintenance, Stagehand, Flying Operator and now Associate Producer for Nemesis. She is beyond honored to be involved with this production. 

Production Assistant: Yolanda Creque-Trinidad

Genre: Thriller

Yolanda started her career in film making as a production assistant on short horror film, Darker. She also worked on feature film, Nemesis as production assistant.
